Tony Masinton
Many will recognize Tony Masinton as the Director of the La Veta Public Library. His first turn on the La Veta stage was as the language-challenged Barcelonan "Manuel" in Fawlty Towers. Tony has also been in other FCPA productions: he played various roles in the Salute to Carol Burnett, played improv with the Francisco Street Fools and kept the audience laughing in Fall Follies, and played "Seymour" in Little Shop of Horrors. Elsewhere, he has spent several months studying at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London; acted in numerous productions in York, England; was a member of the Durham Dramatic Society (England); and performed Shakespeare with the Lords of Misrule in York. He also had one or two brief appearances on the BBC during his career as an archaeologist at the University of York. In 2022, Tony also took on the lead male role in Barefoot in the Park, which was an emotional and enjoyable performance. He proved his versatility again in 2024 by playing several roles (we think it ended up being 8?) in Spamalot: the Musical, in which audience members are still talking about his performance.
