Joe Young

Joe is a Colorado native, born and raised in Englewood. After a short stint in the Navy he worked a few odd jobs before taking on a career in the metals distribution and processing industry. After 40 years in that company he retired in 2019 and moved to La Veta with his wife Jeanne in 2020. He has always enjoyed listening to and playing music. He has sung for the FCPA choir for the last three years. You can spot him playing live on stage at some venues around the La Veta area. He is a regular at the open mic on Thursdays where he often is playing a hand made guitar that he himself built and created. His last live acting performance was in a grade school play in which he played the part of Big Bird. Joe stepped into a major role in 2024’s Spamalot: the Musical as the not-so-brave Sir Robin, which left audiences laughing to the point of tears. We are excited to have him join us for Fall Follies.
